Just imagine the excitement of a 10th seed pulling off an upset against a higher seed! It could create some intense rivalries and drama that we all love about playoff hockey.
The NHL has such a competitive landscape right now, with so many teams hovering around that .500 mark. Expanding the playoffs could give those teams a chance to shine and make a deep run, which would be fantastic for the fans and the league. Plus, more games mean more revenue, and who doesn't want to see the NHL grow?
